I thoroughly enjoy supporting birthing families and capturing moments that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Every birthing mama deserves a doula! Especially when she is birthing in a hospital environment, where the extra support can make all the difference. Doulas empower families to advocate for themselves and hopefully have the birth experiences they desire. Even when things don't go exactly as planned, a doula is there to listen and help families process their experience.

Bodywork can ease a pregnant mama's aches & exhaustion. And everyone knows when mama is happy, everyone is happier! Learning infant massage can help brand new families feel more bonded to their babies, and offers numerous health benefits such as better sleep and digestion.

Capturing the fierce laboring mamas and a newborn baby's first moments are my favorite subjects. There is nothing else like it!  Childbirth can seem like a blur afterward, and many families enjoy being able to look back on the experience and remember all those moments that suddenly seem to have went by so quickly.

Coming Later This Year: Childbirth Education Classes! 

In August 2010 I'll be attending a childbirth educator program through Lamaze International. Gone are the days of funky breathing exercises, here is the focus on normal, physiological birth. Through these classes I hope to help couples, especially those birthing in the hospitals, to better prepare for & navigate their choices in childbirth. I'm hoping to start classes before the end of the year!
